How PoolBid works
We do the legwork. Contractors compete. You save.
PoolBid is built for South Florida homeowners who want a new pool without becoming a full-time project manager. One project. Vetted contractors. An auction that works the price down.
What you get
Three reasons homeowners use PoolBid
01
Cost savings from competition
Instead of taking the first number you hear, qualified contractors bid the same scope. When you start the auction, they can only go lower. You keep the savings. PoolBid is free for homeowners.
02
Vetted contractors, not a phone list
We screen license, insurance, service area, and track record before a contractor sees your project. You get the best-fit prospects for a Palm Beach–area pool — not whoever bought a lead that week.
03
The legwork is already done
One intake. One RFP. Matching, invitations, comparable bids, and the auction desk. Your street address stays hidden until you say otherwise. You show up to decide — not to chase.
The homeowner path
From backyard idea to awarded project
Anticipated timing for a typical Palm Beach–area pool RFP — not a guarantee. Your project may move faster or slower.
20 min
Tell us about the pool once
Walk the PoolBid wizard: type, size, spa, finish, equipment, deck, access, and timing. Save and come back. You do not have to call five companies and repeat the same backyard story.
Same day
We write the RFP. You do not.
PoolBid turns your answers into one standardized request for proposal — included scope, excluded scope, and items the contractor still has to verify on site. We never invent soil conditions or site facts you did not give us.
1–2 days
We bring vetted contractors to you
You are not hunting a directory. PoolBid matches licensed, reviewed contractors who actually serve your ZIP and county. License and insurance are checked by a person. We do the prospecting and the paperwork chase so you meet a short list, not a phone book.
Days 3–14
Compare real bids, not mismatched quotes
Every contractor answers the same job. You sort by price, score, rating, start date, or warranty. “Why this score?” is always visible. Lowest number does not automatically win — complete scope still matters.
60 min
Final-best or reverse auction — if you opted in
After two or more bids, and only if you selected it, the field can submit a last number or compete live. Contractors can only bid down. Firm names stay anonymous. The clock extends if a bid lands in the last two minutes.
Your call
You award. You stay in control.
Pick the contractor. Review price, warranty, schedule, and exclusions. PoolBid is the marketplace, not the builder. You and the contractor remain the parties to the job.

Illustrated savings
Let the bids compete.
On an illustrated Palm Beach Gardens pool, opening bids started at $108,500 and the field worked down toward $93,750. That path is the point of PoolBid: standardize the job first, then let qualified contractors compete on price.
Figures are an example, not a quote. You still award on more than price — warranty, schedule, and scope stay in the comparison.
