What a new residential pool actually costs in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade — and why two quotes for the same backyard can be $30,000 apart.
Two builders can quote the same backyard and land $30,000 apart — not because one is cheating, but because they are quoting two different pools. Until the scope is written down, “pool cost in South Florida” is an unanswerable question.
What actually moves the number
- Structure: gunite/concrete, fiberglass, or vinyl. Gunite is the custom default in Palm Beach; fiberglass trades customization for a faster shell.
- Size, depth, and shape — and whether the water table makes a true deep-end practical.
- Finish: plaster vs. quartz vs. glass-bead pebble, and waterline tile.
