Contractor Terms
These terms apply to PoolBid marketplace use. A Florida lawyer should review them before you treat this pack as production-grade.
You represent that licenses and insurance you submit are accurate. Verification is performed by PoolBid staff against stated standards and does not guarantee future compliance.
Joining and bidding are free. If you are awarded a project, a success fee (default 5% of the awarded amount, unless a published fee rule says otherwise) is owed.
You may not raise an existing bid. Bid history is retained.
Exclusive introduction — PoolBid clients Each homeowner whose project you access on PoolBid is a PoolBid-introduced client for that project and for substantially similar pool work at that property. PoolBid owns the introduction. The homeowner is not your lead.
No taking the job after you bid You may not use an RFP, a bid, an auction, or spec Q&A to harvest a homeowner and then contract off-platform. During the project and for 18 months after you last accessed the RFP or submitted a bid, you will not: solicit that homeowner off PoolBid; send an off-platform quote for the same or substantially similar work; or start that work except through a PoolBid award.
If you take a PoolBid-introduced job off-platform, the success fee is still due as if PoolBid had awarded you the job, calculated on the off-platform contract price or, if that is unknown, on your last PoolBid bid. PoolBid may suspend or terminate your account.
Contact is confidential Street, phone, email, and legal name stay hidden until the homeowner awards you or authorizes you. You will not ask for that information in spec Q&A. You will not share it with a third party. Losing a bid does not entitle you to the homeowner’s contact.
If you are awarded, you may use released contact solely to perform the awarded work and to settle the success fee.
